One very classic and elegant looking convertible.
In 1968 BMW introduced the BMW 1600 Cabriolet, also known as Vollcabrio. Only 1692 units came out of the factory between 1968 and 1970. All convertibles were produced by the coachbuilder ‘Baur’ in Stuttgart. These cars are among the rarest BMW’s and are highly sought-after.
This BMW 1600 Cabriolet with VIN 1557605 was delivered in 1969.
It has had only 3 owners and stayed in the same Belgian family for 22 years, as part of their extensive BMW collection. It shows an original 133.814 km on the odometer and is currently registered in Belgium as an oldtimer.
The car is wearing a beautiful Baikal Metallic Blue paint with black interior trim . The paint is in good condition. The 1,6L engine runs good. It starts right up and doesn’t leak or smoke. The black, folding top is also in good condition and has a nice clear window.
