After the Z1 introduced at the end of the 1980s, BMW conceived a new version of its roadster, which was better equipped and more comfortable. The Z3 roadster was born and became very popular from day one. Designed by Joji Nagashima, the neo-retro styling of BMW’s roadster was one of its strong points. And its success was even boosted by clever product placement in the 1995 James Bond film GoldenEye.
The model we are offering here for sale is fitted with the 2.0-litre 6-cylinder engine developing 150bhp. It is featured in Silver Grey with Black / Red leather interior.
This car was first registered in January 2000. BMW had just issued its facelifted model, noticeable at the rear with the L-shaped taillights. The facelift also brought better insulation for the convertible top, which now had three layers, not just one, and higher quality materials were used for the plastic rear window.
Its unique owner bought it in Belgium and kept it for 22 years. He used it as a second car and maintained it very well. Thanks to its low mileage, the car is in good overall condition, the paint only shows little scratches.
The car has been serviced regularly in a BMW garage and comes with its original service book, both sets of keys and full history of the works done.
