Description

The Jaguar XK 150 is the ultimate expression of Jaguar’s fabulous ‘XK’ series of sports cars. Its production started in the spring of 1957. At the beginning, the XK150 was only available in fixed and drophead coupé forms, the open roadster version not appearing until the following year.

This particular example of the Open Two Seater was built in 1958 in the most sought-after “S” version with a 3.4 L engine producing 250 bhp and offering a significant performance advantage over the base model.

Note that only 846 XK150S Left Hand Drive examples were built and that most of them were aimed for the US market.

The Jaguar Heritage Certificate of the chassis number T 831869 DN shows that this car was originally delivered by Belgian Motor Company in Brussels with the interesting option of a manual gearbox with overdrive. It was featured in the elegant “carmen red” with black leather interior and an assorted black hood. Today, the car is still full matching numbers.

The current owner has meticulously maintained the vehicle during the last 10 years. The engine has been carefully revised in 2018 by a Jaguar specialist in Belgium, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. All invoices are available on request.

Thanks to the fact that it is fitted with an overdrive, this XK150S is very usable on any country road for holiday trips or oldtimer rallyes. It drives well and is equipped with a useful tripmaster. The car comes with a Jaguar tarpaulin and a hood cover.
