Description

This amazing car is the product of a great exercice of style of the Italian coach builder Zagato who re-used several characteristics of the mythical DB4 GT Zagato to create a surprising, elegant and classical designcar that reflects the heritage and the traditions of Aston Martin.

Based on a shortened DB7 GT chassis, the aluminium body shell features the sensuous “double-bubble roof” that extends to the rear window and to the voluptuous rear haunches. Inside, Zagato used a sumptuous Analine leather with carbon-fiber bits and pieces.

The very special coupé was built as a strictly limited production run of only 99 cars of which this example is number 05. Its rarity makes it a stunning automobile to own.

This car was delivered new to Monaco in the very elegant “Mercury grey” with a charcoal interior. Its first owner kept it for more than 10 years. The car was used sporadically and has always been stored inside in a heated garage. It appeared for 8 min in a video reportage on the collaboration between Zagato and Aston Martin (see link below *) . The car was presented driving in Monaco and then in Italy at Zagato premises. Its Japanese designer Nohiriko Harada describes its curves, beauty, …. and explains what makes it a real collector item.

After having been in the hands of a Belgian citizen living in Monte Carlo, the DB7 Zagato was bought by a French car collector who has registered it in Belgium since 2017. The car is still in perfect state… and comes with its numbered protection housse and the owners guide.
