Description

AD Sportscars is pleased to offer this elegant 1973 Porsche 911T 2.4 Coupé, presented in a timeless White over Black configuration.

First registered in April 1973, this example belongs to one of the most desirable chapters of the early Porsche 911 story. The 1973 model year marks the final evolution of the original “long hood” design, before the introduction of the impact-bumper G-Series in 1974. With its slim bumpers, long front bonnet and pure early silhouette, the 1973 911 retains the delicate proportions that made the original model so iconic.

This particular 911T is a matching numbers example, accompanied by its Porsche Certificate, original service book and Belgian registration documents. Delivered as a Belgian car, it presents today with a recorded mileage of 36,830 km.

The 911T, with the “T” standing for Touring, was conceived as the most accessible and usable version of the early 911 range. Less focused than the higher-output E and S models, it is now highly appreciated for its balance, simplicity and road-going character. Its 2.4-litre flat-six represents the final and most evolved displacement of the early long-hood generation, offering more torque and drivability than the earlier 2.0 and 2.2-litre cars while preserving the light, mechanical feel that defines classic 911 motoring.

Equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox, this 911T delivers the pure and engaging driving experience for which early air-cooled Porsches are so admired. The combination of the 2.4-litre engine, compact body, rear-engine layout and manual transmission gives the car a directness and authenticity that remains difficult to replicate in later generations.

Finished in White with a Black interior, the car presents in an understated and highly elegant specification. The contrast between the bright exterior and the sober cabin suits the clean lines of the early 911 particularly well, giving the car a timeless and purposeful appearance.

This example has been partially restored and is in impeccable condition. Its overall presentation reflects the appeal of a well-preserved and carefully maintained early 911: historically interesting, mechanically engaging and visually refined.

Positioned at the crossroads between the original spirit of the 1960s 911 and the more modern evolution that followed from 1974 onwards, this 1973 Porsche 911T 2.4 Coupé represents a particularly attractive opportunity to acquire one of the final long-hood 911s in a desirable matching numbers configuration.
