This year, the Jaguar E-Type is celebrating its 60th birthday. It is one of the most iconic cars of the 20th century. And the Series 1 Roadster that is here presented is probably the model that is most valued by collectors.
After its issue in 1961, the first significant up-grade of Jaguar’s sensational E-type occurred in 1964 with the launch of the 4.2-litre version. Along with the bigger engine came a more user-friendly gearbox. The car’s external appearance did not change apart from the “4.2” badging but under the skin, there were numerous details improvement.
This particular exemplar has had only 3 owners since its first registration in 1966. It is a Left Hand Drive.
Was bought in 2012 by the current owner, a Belgian collector who started a complete restoration including engine rebuild.
The job was done in the rules of the art by Classic Car Service in Belgium.
Body, engine and interior, everything was redone, there are over 100 photos of the restoration carried-out, filed in a beautiful restoration album.
