Description

The Porsche 911S stands apart from the early 911 lineage as the driver’s choice – the high-compression, twin-carburetor variant that established the template for what a sports car could and should be. A 1968 example represents the model at its purest: the short-wheelbase era, before the weight and complexity of later generations, when the connection between driver and machine was absolute.

This particular 911S is a matching numbers car, retaining its original engine and drivetrain in a configuration that collectors rightly regard as non-negotiable. Finished in its original Burgundy Red – a colour of remarkable depth and period correctness that suits the early 911 silhouette with great distinction – the car presents in a state that belies its age entirely.

The car rides on its correct Fuchs alloy wheels – the five-spoke design introduced on the 911S in 1967 that became one of the most celebrated wheels in automotive history. Lightweight, purposeful and instantly recognisable, they remain as visually compelling today as they were the day they left the factory.

The Porsche 911 was restored in the Netherlands between 2008 and 2009 and has been maintained exclusively by official Porsche Centers since its acquisition by the current Belgian owner in 2017. The restoration is documented, with photographs and invoices available upon request. With just 9,200 kilometers accumulated since the restoration, it presents in like-new condition throughout.

Inside, the original specification, featuring black leatherette and Pepita seat inserts, adds timeless charm and elegance to this 911S.

A rare early S, correctly documented and beautifully preserved.

Private owner car – AD acting as intermediary.
